And no McCain and in fact Shays, who introduced these, is " *labeled by his supporters as a "maverick" and "independent thinker", while conservative detractors regard him as a RINO ("Republican in name only").* " Whoa! another maverick!
Anyway, my favorite part of the video is this. (and I will add some comments too)
"Big Problem!" (we have been in a costly war for two years now, mission accomplished)
"Interest Rates Rose" (U.S. dollar weakens and the Inflation rate in 2005 (as indicated in the movie) was 4.69%, before Bush, the inflation rate was 2.63%
"Gas Prices Shot Up"
"Paychecks Got Squeezed" (Umm.. duh, didn't I already say that U.S. dollar was weakened.. well, shit wouldn't that inflate the cost of a house too?)
"Especially Low Income Pay Checks" (Really, inflation, everything else got more costly (especially health care) (oh yeah, and like you said, gas)... That is a "big problem" and I don't think it had anything to do with law changes in 1995 to allow Fannie and Freddy to offer more Mortgage Bases Securities to help lower income people get off the street and into a house. It wasn't until after 2000 that the home prices began to rise. It wasn't until after 2000 that the federal government began to cut back on education, social and medical services. For some reason they seem to think that the cost of that stuff would just *disappear*. But, it doesn't just disappear and is placed on the taxpayers. Lower income families are now faced with new expenses and fewer skills to earn a living.
I'm just not sold at all.
