'Spam King' kills family and then himself

Sunday night he pulled off a seamless escape from a prison in Florence, jumping into a 2006 silver Toyota Sequoia with his visiting wife and speeding away. On Thursday morning, he fatally shot his wife and his toddler daughter at their former home near Bennett.

Cop: Suspect says God made him kill, cook girlfriend

Friends and family of a 21-year-old who police say was killed and mutilated by her boyfriend struggle to put aside the grisly details of her death. Shearer's boyfriend, Christopher Lee McCuin, 25, was charged with capital murder after police said they found her body, an ear boiling in a pot on a stovetop, and a hunk of flesh with a fork in it on a plate at the crime scene.

"When he said God told him to do it, one of the investigators looked at him and just said, 'What did you say?"' according to Wiginton.

Police were not immediately sure what the name of the business was but it was believed to be an investment firm, Ross said. The gunman's role in the company was not immediately clear, but Ross said police believed he might have been an investor. The shootings took place in the Philadelphia Naval Business Center, an office park that is part of the old Philadelphia Navy Yard.

ST. LOUIS: Warm beer led to killing, police say

A St. Louis man was shot to death Sunday night over a warm beer, police said. St. Louis police say a woman shot her husband, who was about 70 years old, four to five times in the chest after he tried giving her a warm can of Stag beer. Police said the wife admitted shooting him about 5:40 p.m. in the kitchen of their home in the 5100 block of Terry Avenue. Police said the home had no electricity at the time. Homicide detectives would not identify the man. The woman, whom police also did not identify, was taken into custody.
